Discover Natuurgebied Leidschendammerhout

In Natuurgebied Leidschendammerhout, Highland cattle grazes near the ponds and birds nest in the trees. In this extensive nature area, there are endless possibilities for walks and horseback rides. With the many kilometres of footpaths and bridlepaths, there’s a lot to experience for people and horses. Its varying landscape of wet woodlands, rough grasslands and reed-ringed ponds, the Leidschendammerhout never fails to amaze.

Just thirty years ago, Holstein-Frisian dairy cows roamed the fields near Leidschendam, now there’s the Leidschendammerhout. For every nature loverr, theres something to discover. Don’t forget to walk the Laarzenpad! For more information about the Laarzenpad, visit the website of Staatsbosbeheer! In the winter, you can watch the many geese and gadwall hanging out at the ponds.
