Visit the monumental Juliana-Bernhard bench

In 1947, on the occasion of the wedding of Princess Juliana and Prince Bernhard, a commemorative bench was built in the style of the Nieuwe Haagsche School with sculptural features by sculptor Albert Termote, also known from the Ruitersstandbeeld Corbulo.

In fact, the bench crosses the pond, with the seat in the middle of the tiled terrace. In short, it is an interesting and historic spot where you can take a break during a walk in the park.

Houtzaagmolen de Salamander

De Salamander is a typical Dutch sawmill, located in Leidschendam. The mill was rebuilt in 1778. A steam engine was installed so that sawing could continue in windless conditions, a technique which was quite new in those days.
