Use the many facilities in Bibliotheek aan de Vliet Leidschendam

The Bibliotheek aan de Vliet in Leidschendam is full of books for readers of all ages. Whether you like literature, architecture, history or biology: here you will find interesting books about any theme you can think of. And there’s lots more to do in the library. You can study or do your homework quietly in one of the individual study places. And you can use the printer and photocopier, because not everyone has one at home.

The Bibliotheek aan de Vliet is not just a place where you can borrow books or study. You can improve your Dutch at the Taalhuis to learn or get help from Allemaal Digitaal with questions about computers, the digital government and e-books. For very young children, there’s Toddler Storytime every two weeks. A staff member from the library reads from the loveliest picture books to children aged 0 – 4 and their (grand)parents. There are also regular activities for people of all ages in the library. Various workshops for mental health, fun learning activities for young people and interesting talks.

As a member of the library, you can borrow e-books and audio books for free in the national online library. So, you can enjoy good stories anywhere at any time.

And if you can’t come to the library, there’s also the mobile library, the Bibliotheek aan Huis. A volunteer will then regularly deliver books to your home.
