Recreatiegebied Vlietland

The 300-hectare Vlietland recreational area is one of the biggest and most attractive areas for water sports and recreation in the Netherlands! The heart of Vlietland is consists of three lakes, surrounded are woods, streams, fields and a gorgeous park.

Houtzaagmolen de Salamander

De Salamander is a typical Dutch sawmill, located in Leidschendam. The mill was rebuilt in 1778. A steam engine was installed so that sawing could continue in windless conditions, a technique which was quite new in those days.

Poldermolen De Vlieger

Molen de Vlieger is a drainage windmill situated in the unique polder landscape of Essesteijn in Voorburg which also includes a petting zoo. The authentic mill, built in 1621, is still fully operational and currently in use as a museum.
