The 300-hectare Vlietland recreational area is one of the biggest and most attractive areas for water sports and recreation in the Netherlands! The heart of Vlietland is consists of three lakes covering 130 hectares in total. The lakes are surrounded are woods, streams, fields and a gorgeous park.
The recreational area offers lots of opportunities for many forms of recreation on water and land. For example, Vlietland has a climbing park, an aqua park, a campsite, a water sports club, a sailing club, a surfing club, a sailing school, a rowing club and the possibility to rent canoes, sailing boats, motor boats and rowing boats. Near the docks, there’s also a cozy restaurant where you can enjoy a nice lunch or a lovely dinner.

Huygens’ Hofwijck
Museum Hofwijck in Voorburg focuses on two key Dutch figures from the Golden Age: Constantijn and Christiaan Huygens. In 2004, the garden of the Hofwijck estate was reconstructed based on the original. This is a wonderful place for walking!
